David Forbes age 46, of Medina, passed away on Friday, January 23, 2015 at 1:11 AM at the Hospice of Medina County. He was born on September 5, 1968 to Stephen and Joyce (nee Pekny) Forbes in Harvey, Illinois. David and Peggy (nee Moreland) were married on August 12, 1989.
David was a Research Professor at the Rochester Institute of Technology and performed research at the NASA Glenn Research Center. He had a passion for sports and was involved in the adult soccer rec league, Medina Girls Classics League, and also coached for the Medina girls rec softball league. David was a member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church and Living Word Lutheran Church.
He will be dearly missed by his beloved wife, Peggy; son, Cameron; daughter, Sydney; his parents; siblings, Duane (Tammy), Denise (Mike) Kane, Darrin (Meggan); parents-in-law, Jack and Lillian Moreland.
A Celebration of David’s Life will be held on Friday, January 30, 2015 from 2 to 8 PM at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Road (corner of River Styx and Rt. 18), Medina, Ohio. On Saturday, January 31, 2015, the family will receive visitors from 9:00 to 10:30 AM at Our Saviour Lutheran Church, 1605 Center Road, Hinckley, Ohio, with a Memorial Service to follow at 10:30 AM.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Forbes Family Memorial Fund, c/o Chase Bank, 285 East Reagan Parkway, Medina, Ohio.
