David M. Kropp, 60, of Nelson Township, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Monday, May 5, 2014 after a courageous battle with his illness. He was born January 21, 1954 in Ravenna, Ohio to Dale Kropp and the late June (Wheaton) Kropp.
Dave grew up on a farm just outside Windham, Ohio. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. Dave was the Parts and Service manager for Remcon, Inc. He loved the work he did in designing and building waterjet cutting machines. He was an avid fan of fireworks, camping, guns and tractor/truck pulls. He and his family managed his wife’s family farm in Nelson, Ohio. Dave was a mechanic at heart and worked in his spare time building his dream motorcycle and truck. Dave’s favorite pastime was taking his beloved family out to dinner and spending quiet evenings at home surrounded by his pets.
He is survived by his loving wife Denise (Johnson) Kropp, whom he married on September 1, 1990; his devoted son Damian Marshall and devoted daughter, Dana Morgan, both living at home in Garrettsville. Dave is also survived by his father, Dale Kropp and sister Melanie (David) Ku. Dave is also survived by children from a previous relationship, Karrie, Brian and Branden Kropp.
Calling hours are 6-8 PM on Friday, May 9, 2014 at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH 44231. Funeral Services will be at 11 AM on Saturday, May 10, 2014 also at the funeral home with Rev. Rick Hughes officiating.
