David E. Long, 55, of Garrettsville, passed away on Monday, April 1, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 24, 1957 in Akron, OH to Robert and Betty (Montigney) Long.
Dave was a master of all trades and could fix anything. He was a union carpenter, a mechanic at Sky Lanes, and he founded and operated The Cellar Winery. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, boating, and golfing. Dave was a diehard Browns, Indians, and Buckeyes fan. He cherished spending time with his beloved family and friends.
He is survived by his daughter, Erin (Lisa) Long of Twinsburg; loving partner Carole King of Garrettsville and her son Aaron ( Ann ) King; grandchildren Cameron, Cody, and Karlee; brother Robert ( Elaine ) Long of Garrettsville; numerous relatives and friends; and his pets Merlin, Velvet, and Baby.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Saturday, April 6, 2013 from 2-5 P.M. at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center Street, Garrettsville, OH 44231. His funeral service will immediately follow at 5 P.M. at the funeral home.
