DEBORAH "DEBI" L. WHOOLERY

Deborah “Debi” L. Whoolery, 66, of Garrettsville, OH, formerly of Akron, OH, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, September 8, 2024. She was born February 10, 1958, in Cleveland, OH, to Alice (nee Davis) Troughton and the late Edward Troughton. 

She was raised in Twinsburg, OH, and was a graduate from R.B. Chamberlin High School. Debi worked as an accountant throughout her career. She enjoyed visiting casinos, but most of all, Debi loved spending time with her grandchildren, who were the loves of her life. 

Debi will be deeply missed by her mother, Alice Troughton; sister, Lea (Lorenzo) LaCivita; son, Brian (Elaura) Whoolery; grandchildren, Keli, Jon, Liam, and Sadie, as well as many other extended family members.  

She was preceded in death by her father and her brother, David Bussey. 

Please join the family for a visitation Thursday, September 12, 2024, 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH 44231. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home Friday, September 13, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Burrell Garren officiating. Debi will then be taken to Park Cemetery in Garrettsville, where she will be lovingly laid to rest.
