DENNIS LYNCH

Dennis Lynch, 89, passed away on Saturday, February 24, after a long battle with dementia. His wife Margaret (nee Sullivan) proceeded Dennis in death in June of 2018.

He was born in Cleveland on February 16, 1935 to James and Margaret (nee Linden). Dennis was a middle child of nine children including: James (Marjorie), Theresa (Charles Kenzig), Thomas (Marilyn), Margaret (Ray Brow), Dolores (Roy Sidorak), Kenneth (Terri), William (Dolores), Rita (Jim Ptacek).

Dennis graduated from Fairview High School in 1954 and then went on to study at Kent State University. He worked as a carpenter and served in the National Guard.

Dennis and Margaret were married at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Cleveland on August 5, 1961. They started their family on Clifford Drive in North Olmsted. With the birth of Mary Ann in 1963, the family moved to Parma. When little Dennis was born in 1969, the family moved back to North Olmsted and lived on Ambour Drive.

Dennis worked as a carpenter for Seifert Construction, the Cleveland Clinic and eventually retired from National City Bank.

In 1998, Dennis and Margaret moved to Medina. In his retirement, Dennis did window and screen repair at Buyers Outlet in Cleveland and spent much of their time watching their grandpuppy Carrie.

Dennis is survived by his two children Mary Ann (Richard Sako) and Dennis, his six grandchildren William Darrow, Kathryn (Thomas Harrington), Rosemarie (Charley Nell), Carolyn (John Volcansek), Allison and Gavin, and his eight great grandchildren Thomas, Annie, Caleb, Ava, Emily, Colin, Callie and Claire.

A funeral mass will be held Monday, March 4, 2024 at 11 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Church, 606 E Washington, Medina, Ohio. Burial will be at Spring Grove Cemetery and a reception luncheon will immediately follow.
