Dolores A. Lenc (nee Simon) age 68, was reunited with loved ones in heaven on Saturday,
April 18, 2015. Dolores was a double lung transplant recipient who honored the precious gift of life for nearly a decade.
Dolores retired from Highland Local School District in 2006 where she worked for many years in Food Service and the Latch Key Program. During her years with Highland Schools, Dolores was actively involved and served as the President of the Support Staff Union, recorded stats for the High School Soccer team and helped in any way she could to support the students, athletes and community.
Dolores loved spending time with her family and especially enjoyed cheering on her beloved grandchildren during all of their sporting events and rooting for the Steelers during football season. Dolores was a loving wife, mother, grandmother (“Baba”) and proud pet parent. She devoted much of her life to caring for her family and others. One of the many ways Dolores showed her love was through her exceptional baking and cooking skills.
Dolores was the daughter of the late Samuel and Clara Simon. She is survived by her dearly loved husband Don Lenc whom she was married to for 45 years, children; Don Lenc (Kristyn) and Dan Lenc (Jodi), six grandchildren; Alex, Max, Ava, Erin, Kaylee and Sadie.
