DONALD J. AUGUSTA

Donald J. Augusta, 89, of Southington Twp., OH, passed away peacefully with his loving daughter by his side on Thursday, August 22, 2024. He was born July 22, 1935, in Warren, OH, to the late Steven and Ann (nee Yaugo) Augusta.  

He lived in Southington Twp. most of his life. Don retired from Copperweld Steel in 1987 and was the founder and former owner of Southington Springs Water. He was known as an amazing artist and craftsman. Don loved animals and donated a lot of his time and work to the Trumbull Co. Humane Society. He loved nature and wild life; he especially enjoyed walking his dogs through his land, which he called “The Promised Land”, in Southington Twp.  

Don will be deeply missed by his daughter, Debbie (Mark) Hull; grandchildren, Brandon (Natalie) Wine and Lauren (Joe) D’Attoma; great grandchildren, Easton and Kinsley D’Attoma, and Charlotte Wine, who has a baby brother coming soon; brother, Robert Augusta; niece, Nichole Augusta, and many friends.  

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Steven Augusta.  

Per Don’s wishes, he is to be cremated. Services for Don are private and were entrusted to Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH 44231.
