Donald McCullough, 90, of Garrettsville, passed away at his home, surrounded by his loving family, on Friday, August 12, 2022. He was born October 19, 1931, in Garrettsville, to the late Ford and Lula (nee Lee) McCullough.
Don married his true love, Virginia, on June 10, 1951, with whom he was blessed to share 69 years of marriage. As a lifelong resident of Garrettsville, he was employed as a service manager for the local Ford Dealership through the 50's and 60's. In 1969 he decided to venture out on his own, opening an auto repair shop and his true calling, Village Motors Towing. He continued in business for over 30 years until he finally decided it was time to slow down. He sold the business but continued driving the tow truck part time in between traveling the countryside with his beloved wife and dogs in their RV.
Don will be deeply missed by his sons, Mike (Nancy) McCullough, Jeff (Roxanne) McCullough, and Brad McCullough; daughter, Jill McCullough; grandchildren, Bryan (Michelle) McCullough, Stephanie (Justin) Pesicek, Erin McCullough, Amber Hawkins, Wyatt Hawkins, and Nicholas Hawkins; several great grandchildren, and many loving friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, stepfather, William "Bill" Burnside, brother William "Bill" and his dearest wife, Virginia.
Donations would be graciously accepted by Hospice Of The Western Reserve, in Don's memory,
