DONALD G. MILLER

November 20, 1937 — July 11, 2022

Donald G. Miller, 84, of Windham, went home to his Lord and Savior with his precious family beside him on Monday, July 11, 2022. He was born in Shock, West Virginia on November 20, 1937, to the late Harley H. and Opal B. (nee Lambert) Miller.

He was a retired Field Engineer for the Warren Engineering Company located in Warren, Ohio, and was a member of the Carpenter's Union #171. Don was better known for his 50 years of dedication as a firefighter, 32 of which he was the Chief for the Windham Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed to hunt, fish, and do his woodcarving. Most of all, Don loved helping others and spending time with family and friends.

Don will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Janet, with whom he was blessed to share 61 years of marriage; children, Jeffrey (Lisa) Miller and Amy Olson; grandchildren, Corey (Christina) Miller, Lauren Miller, Mackenzie (Angel) Miller, Emily (Zachary) Rowe, Nicole (Joshua) Sweet, Jacob (Amanda) Olson, and Jimmy (Samantha) Olson; 12 great grandchildren, and many friends, as Don never met a stranger.

The family would like to invite friends to honor Don for a visitation on Saturday, July 16, 2022, from 12:00 P.M. - 4:00 P.M., at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH 44231. A funeral service will begin at 4:00 P.M. at the funeral home, with Reverend Ruth Roth and Reverend Sandy Greenberg officiating. Per Don's wishes, he will then be cremated and will be privately laid to rest at the Windham Township Cemetery at a later date.
