Donald “DJ” Welton, 45, of Garrettsville, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2015, surrounded by his family. He was born on August 2, 1970 in Ravenna, Ohio to James and Kathleen (Buzzard) Welton.
DJ was a member of the National Rifle Association. He attended the House of Praise in Newton Falls, Ohio. DJ loved hunting, fishing, riding 4 wheelers, classic cars and trucks. What he loved the most was spending time with his beloved family and friends.
He is survived by his mom; wife, Monica (McCabe); sister, Janet (Bill) Jones of Nelson; sister-in-law, Dana (Paul) Mosier of Windham; brother-in-laws, Timothy (Tammy) McCabe of Garrettsville and Michael McCabe of Columbus; aunts, Joanne George, Shirley Claypool, Sally Welton of Pennsylvania and Nancy (Dan) Neer; nephews, Dylan, Alicia and Chad; 3 great nephews and many cousins and friends, and special friends Tressa and her daughter, Emily.
DJ was preceded in death by his father; mother-in-law, Carolyn Dye; and favorite dog Drake.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 from 6-8 PM and Thursday, November 5, 2015 from 11-12 PM at House of Praise, 23 Fairport Rd, Newton Falls, Ohio 44444. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2015, 12 PM at House of Praise with Minister Bill Roberts officiating. Burial will follow at Harrington Cemetery in Nelson, Ohio.
