DONNA M. YURICH

Donna Marie Yurich, age 82, of Medina, passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 5, 1940, in Lakewood, Ohio, to the late Joseph and Emma (nee Sabol) Hajba. Born the eldest girl of six children, she helped raise her siblings after the death of her mother when Donna was 12. Her siblings and she worked in their father's delicatessen in Lakewood while growing up. She graduated from St. Joseph Academy, Cleveland. Donna married Robert Yurich and together they had three children and seven grandchildren.

After high school, Donna worked at Goodyear as a Secretary. She then spent many years at home raising her children until she returned to work as a Secretary at Alloy Fabricators in Lodi, which Robert and she owned. She enjoyed gardening, reading, baking, traveling and spent much of her time with her beloved grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter Kimberly Metz (Kenneth Krochmal), son Lance Yurich (Wendy), daughter Michelle Long (Richard), and grandchildren: Melissa Metz, Hannah Yurich, Zachary Yurich, Jared Metz, Abigail Yurich, Allison Long and Emmett Long. She is also survived by sisters, Judy Hughes and Rita Palisin (Michael).

She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Hajba; mother, Emma Hajba; husband, Robert Yurich; aunt, Judith Hajba, and brothers Joseph, Robert and James.

A loving and caring mother, grandmother, wife, and friend, she will be greatly missed.

Friends may join the family for visitation for Donna on Friday, October 28th, 2022 from 2:00-4:00 PM and 6:00-8:00 PM at Carlson Funeral Homes, 3477 Medina Rd., (corner of River Styx and Route 18), Medina, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, October 29, 2022 at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church 606 E. Washington St., Medina. PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Brookpark, Ohio.
