DOROTHY FILBIN

Dorothy Filbin, age 82, of Brunswick, passed away December 21, 2014. She was born July 31, 1932 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Frank and Helen (nee Babik) Pierse.

Dorothy’s favorite pastimes included camping, boating, and fishing. She also loved cooking and baking. She enjoyed music, crosswords, puzzles, and was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church.

She will be dearly missed by her sons, Gary (Irene), Dennis; daughter-in-law, Katie; grandchildren, Emily and James.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years, James and her son, Jim.

Friends may join the family for visitation on Sunday, December 28, 2014 from 1 to 3 PM at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Rd, (1/2 mile south of Route 303) Brunswick, OH 44212. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, December 29, 2014 at 10:00 AM at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 929 Pearl Rd, in Brunswick. There will be a visitation one hour prior to Mass at 9:00AM (PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH). Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Cleveland, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Dorothy’s name to a charity of your choice.
