Dorothy P. Miller, 87, formerly of Windham, passed away on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at Independence Village in Aurora.
She was born July 2, 1925 in Clarksburg, WV to Harold and Cora (Daugherty) Dixon.
Dorothy volunteered many years at the Windham Board of Elections and was a member of Windham Congregational Church. She enjoyed gardening, crossword puzzles, and spending time with her beloved family and friends.
She is survived by her daughters Sharon (Terry) Ritchey of Troy, Joyce (Fred) Shaffer and Linda (Gary) Wilms of Champion, Janice (Kenneth) Neiss of Freedom, and Patty Pitsinger of Mantua; 8 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and brother Clifford Ball of Warren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Hale and sister Peggy.
Calling hours are 10-11 AM on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH 44231 where funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday with Chaplain Dan Tayman officiating. Burial will follow at Drakesburg Cemetery in Freedom Township. The family suggests memorial contributions in Dorothy’s name be made to Independence Village, 505 S. Chillicothe Rd., Aurora, OH. 44202.
