DOROTHY "DOTTIE" PYTEL

Dorothy “Dottie” (nee Markusic) Pytel, age 81, of Brunswick, passed away October 21, 2016. She was born April 3, 1935 in Cascade, West Virginia to the late Peter and Clara (nee Calcio) Markusic.

Dottie always put her family first and foremost. She was a member of St. Colette Catholic Church and The Daughters of St. Colette. She was a past member of the Brunswick VFW Post 9520 Ladies Auxiliary. She loved her church and many friends. Dottie also enjoyed baking, golfing, bowling, and crafts.

She will be dearly missed by her loving children, Dave (Marti), Ron (Vickie), Deb and Doug; siblings, Elizabeth “Libby” (James), Matthew “Bud” (Patricia-deceased), Delores “Dee” (Robert); dear grandchildren, Chris, Shawn, Matt, Tonya (Steve), and Ashley (Dustin); great grandchildren, Saige, Carter, Faith, Sawyer, Parker, Taylor, Archer, and Gabriella.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years, Anthony.

Friends may join the family for visitation Wednesday, October 26, 2016 from 3 to 8 pm at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road, (1/2 mile south of Route 303) Brunswick, OH 44212. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, October 27, 2016 at 11:00 am with a 10:00 am prior visitation at St. Colette Catholic Church, 330 W. 130th St., Brunswick, Ohio 44212. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Cleveland, Ohio.
