Dorothy J. Schwandt, 93, of Medina, passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2021. She was born June 11, 1927 in Salem, Illinois to the late Walter and Gladys (nee Gain) Booher.
Dorothy enjoyed gardening and bird watching, but she especially relished spending time with her grandchildren.
She will be dearly missed by her children, Linda (Peter) Rode, Les(Liz), Jeff (Jolyn) and Steve (Diane) Schwandt; grandchildren, Kristen (Thomas) Dunivan, Bonnie (Toshi) Suigusa and James, Michelle, Dane, Jacob, and Johnny Schwandt; great grand children, Connor, Caden, and Claire Dunivan, Peter Rode, Julianna, Jadyn and Jessica Saigusa, Lexi and Elli Schwandt. She is survived by her brother Robert Booher.
Dorothy is preceded in death by James, her loving husband of 71 years, brother, David Booher, sister Carol Guymon, granddaughter Jenny Schwandt, and grandsons Kevin Rode and Joshua Schwandt.
The family has chosen to inter Dorothy at a later date at Harvey's Point Cemetery in Marion County, Illinois. Funeral arrangements for Dorothy have been entrusted to Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Road, Medina, Ohio 44256.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dorothy's name to Harvey's Point Church, 1981 County Farm Rd., Kell, Illinois 62853, or a charity of one's choice.
