Dottie Taylor, 88, of Garrettsville, joined her Lord and Saviour on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 23, 1933, in Marlington, WV, to the late Cecil Zimmerman and Mae Shaffer.
She was a faith-filled woman who enjoyed going to church and the friendships she made. Dottie and her late husband, Boyd, would open their arms and their home to anyone who needed help.
Dottie will be deeply missed by her loving children, Debra (Jesse) Ellison, Donna (Richard) Hoskins, Michael (Patricia) Taylor; grandchildren, Rebecca (Kris) Hart, Jesse Ellison, Jr., Rachel Ellison, Nia Ellison, Jason (Jess) Foy, Travis (Angela) Hoskins, Misti Norusis, Richard (Melissa) Hoskins, Jana Taylor, Christina (Matthew) Huffman, Rochelle Groves, and Tera Dearstine; great-grandchildren, Zane, Wyatt, Kaylee, Keaton, Cole, Ethan, Maria, Grady, Joanna, Kailey, Connor, Sydni, Ayden, Lydia, Hunter, Hannah, Jonathan, Sahila, Madison, Brantley, and Cullen; 3 great-great grandchildren, and many nephews, nieces, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Boyd A. Taylor, with whom she was blessed to be married to for almost 50 years; daughter, Terri Lynn Groves, and grandson, Nathan Taylor.
All services for Dottie are private. She will be laid to rest in Park Cemetery next to her beloved, Boyd. Care for Dottie has been entrusted to Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services 8382 Center St. Garrettsville, OH 44231.
