DOUGLAS C. HENRIKSEN

Douglas C Henriksen, age 70, of Medina, passed away peacefully with his daughters by his side, on Friday, January 4, 2019 at Hospice of Medina County, following a long battle with cancer.
He was born on March 19, 1948 in Cleveland, Ohio, to Oscar and Irene (nee Juszczyk) Henriksen.
After attending Cleveland State University, he served in the US Navy as an Air Traffic Controller. Doug was employed at Ford Motor Company, Brook Park, for several years, then worked at the US Postal Service for over 20 years.
Doug enjoyed music history and listening to music, riding his motorcycle, watching TV and various movies, and especially enjoyed spending time with his daughters and grandchildren.
He will be dearly missed by his daughters, Mairen (Ryan) Baker, Stephanie (Ben) Marthey, and Kirsten Storrs; cherished grandchildren, Anna, Estella, Holden, Grant, Elynn, Sullivan, Finnegan, Hadley and a granddaughter on the way.
Friends may join the family for Douglas’ visitation on Thursday, January 10, 2019, from 10:00 until time of service at 12:00 noon at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Road, Medina, OH 44256. Interment will follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville, OH.
