Douglas E. Wonsettler, 73, of Medina went to be with the Lord, October 11,2024. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 15, 1951 in Greensburg, PA. A son of the late Glenn and Calore Stout Wonsettler .He was a member of Holy Martyrs Catholic Church.
A Sales Rep for BFG Supply, selling annuals and perennials for the Grower to Nursery Centers all over the U.S. His love of flowers and plants was his hobby and he loved putting together flower pots that he shared with family and friends. Doug’s happy place was the beach. He spent many years in Hilton Head, SC but his favorite beach place was Aruba. He was a lifelong Steelers fan and loved watching The Ohio State Buckeyes. He and his wife just celebrated their anniversary by renewing their vows.
He is survived by his wife Debra of 30 years, brother Joseph W. Wonsettler (Sharon) of Massillon, children : Adam Cox (Stephanie) of Strongsville, Eric Cox (Danielle) of Cuyahoga Falls, Alison Berger (Shane) of Medina, Anne Wonsettler Robinson (Nathan) of Washington D.C. and Glenn E. Wonsettler II (Elayne Rush) of New York City, loving Poppy to Nicholas, Brandon, Andrew, Payton, Caleb, Elise, Easton, Eloise, Ada and Corrina, 4 Step-Grandchildren Tyler, Sam, Logan and Zachary James and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are Thursday, October 17, from 5-7 at the Carlson Funeral Home, 3477 Medina Road (corner of Route 18 and River Styx), Medina, Ohio. A Mass will be celebrated at Holy Martyrs Catholic Church, 3100 Old Weymouth Rd, on Friday October 18, at 10:00.
