Dwight "Dick" W. Strawman, 93, of Westerville, previously of Freedom Township, passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2020 due to complications from Covid-19. He was born May 13, 1927 in Freedom Township Ohio to the late David and Beulah (Lamale) Strawman.
Dick was a resident of Freedom Township until 2016 when he and his wife, Marguerite, moved to Westerville, Ohio to be closer to their family. Together they founded and managed Strawman’s Auto Body and Glass in Ravenna for nearly 35 years until his retirement in 1989. Dick had many hobbies; he loved to saw, split, and deliver firewood, tend to his apple orchard for pressing cider, restore Ford Mustangs, ride his motorcycle, and travel.
Dick will be deeply missed by his loving wife Marguerite, with whom he was blessed to share 71 years of marriage; children, Roger (Myra) Strawman, Roy (Jodi) Strawman, Elaine Zajac, and Eloise (Ray) Girt; grandchildren Lindsey (Joey), Kelly (Brad), Meredith, Karen, Sara (Matt) and Megan (Erin); 11 great grandchildren; nieces, Barbara (Danny) Grafton and Patricia Mihailov; nephew, Walter Strawman; and his beloved dog, Nellie.
He was preceded in death by his son-in-law Mike Zajac; grandsons Junior and Reid, and siblings, Edwin, Dee, Sarah, and Anna Ruth.

. Private services for the immediate family will be held on Wednesday, December 30 at the Drakesburg Cemetery in Freedom Township. A memorial service will be held once Covid restrictions are lifted.
