Earl Moriarity, 75, our father and grandfather, passed away on December 23, 2019. Earl was born in Cleveland on June 24, 1944, to the late William and Nellie (nee Leigey) Moriarity. He lived in Willoughby most of his life, but resided in Wadsworth, Ohio for the last 6 years. Earl retired from the City of Cleveland as an elevator inspector. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, making models, and was a tinkerer of all things. Earl served his country as a Marine during the Vietnam War.
Earl was never one to shy away from an argument and loved to share his opinion. He was passionate and caring. He passed these qualities on to his children, Jill (Chris) Kahle of Ft. Myers, FL, Chad (Mary) Moriarity of Chesterland, and Erin (Todd) Hill of Sharon Center.
Earl loved spending time with his grandchildren. He made them feel loved and special. He never missed a sporting event or a dance competition, and was always there for important events. His grandchildren will miss him the most; Emily, Dana, Josh, Tyler, Jesse, Brooke, Delaney and Creed.
Friends may join the family for a visitation on Sunday, December 29, 2019, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Road, Medina, OH 44256. A graveside service and burial will be held on Monday, December 30, 2019, at 11:00 AM at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 11521 Chillicothe Road (Rt 306), Chesterland, OH 44026
