Earl J. Rabant, 77 of Hinckley passed away on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at his home with his family by his side. Earl was born March 20, 1933 in Buffalo, New York to Joseph and Henrietta (nee Panphil) Rabant and was a United States Army Veteran.
He retired as Chief Stewart for White Motors building semi-trucks, was a member of the United Auto Workers Local 32, a former volunteer for the Fire and Police Departments in Hinckley, and was an avid hunter and fisherman who especially loved walleye and perch fishing in Lake Erie while teaching his family how to fish. He dearly loved his family and his grandchildren.
Mr. Rabant is survived by his children Debra (Duane) Husak, Darren (Sherry) Rabant, Dina Rabant, and Duane (Sharon) Rabant; brother Dale (Marcia) Rabant; and his grandchildren Danielle, Miranda, Myles, Darren Jesse, and Derek. He was preceded in death by his wife Dolores (nee Krakowski) Rabant and his parents.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Friday, February 11, 2011 from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road (1/2 mile South of Route 330), Brunswick. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at the Funeral Home with Father Joseph S. Mecir officiating. Interment will follow in Eastlawn Memory Gardens.
