Edith “Edie” Hebb, 95, of Windham, passed away surrounded by her family on October 28, 2015. She was born on October 1, 1920 to Maurie and Hazel (Ferguson) Collett.
Edie enjoyed being a homemaker and taking care of her family. Once her children were grown, she spent many wonderful years working at Katherine Thomas Elementary School. She was the playground superintendent, a custodian and volunteered to read to the children. Edie was a member of the Windham Bible Church and R.S.V.P. Memories of Edie will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
She was survived by her daughter, Colletta Stanley; son, John (Paula) Hebb; 10 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren plus 1 one on the way.
Edie was preceded in death by her husband, Reuben; son, Ronald; granddaughter, Tami Sue; 5 sisters; 2 brothers and good personal friend, Mickey Nace.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 2, 2015 from 6-8 PM at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, Ohio. Services will be on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at 11 AM with Pastor Chad Froelich officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Edie’s name to the American Cancer Society and the American Heart Association.
