Edward S. Hrobak, 79, of Nelson Township, went home to his Lord and Savior Monday, July 3, 2023. He was born February 10, 1944, in Ravenna, to the late, Stephen and Genevieve (Hojnowski) Hrobak.
He was a 1962 graduate of James A. Garfield High School. Ed served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam era, and was a proud member of the Windham American Legion, Post #674. His hobbies included jigsaw puzzles, hunting, gardening, hiking; above all else, Ed enjoyed spending time with his family.
Ed will be deeply missed by his wife, Linda (Porter) Hrobak; daughters, Lisa (Mike) Ash and Teresa (Brian) Hider; grandchildren, Melanie (David) Garnes, Megan DeVaughn, Austin Ash, Ashlyn Hider, Logan Hider, and Lauryn Hider; sisters-in-law, Bobbie Hrobak and Jean Hrobak, as well as several nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Stephen Hrobak, Theodore Hrobak, and Daniel Hrobak.
Please join the family for a visitation Friday, July 7, 2023, 1:00 P.M. – 2:30 P.M., at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH 44231. A funeral service will begin at the funeral home at 2:30 P.M. Ed will then be taken to Park Cemetery, Center St. & Brosius Rd., in Garrettsville, where he will be lovingly laid to rest with military honors.
