EILEEN A. PEKAREK

Eileen Agnes Pekarek, 80, of Burton , OH, passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2025. She was born January 20, 1945 in Cleveland, OH, to the late Vitus F. and Helen (Cmolik) Pekarek, MD.  

Eileen was raised in Newburgh Heights, OH, graduated from Hoban Dominican High School and continued her education at Bowling Green – Firelands campus where she obtained her degree in medical records. She used her education to work for several employers in the Cleveland area and retired from her position with the Cuyahoga County Jail.  

Eileen will be deeply missed by her surviving sister, Jane (Michael Soltis) Pekarek DVM, her nephews James (Aida) O’Meara IV of Mentor, OH, Michael (Erin) O’Meara of Calgary, Canada, and John O’Meara of Litchfield, OH, her nieces Cathy (Steve) Coakley of Granville, OH, and Margaret (Petamber) Pahuja of Austin, TX, and her eleven great nieces and nephews.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister and brother-in-law, Marilyn (Jim III) O’Meara. 

Please join the family for a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Edward’s Catholic Church, 16150 Center Street, Parkman OH 44080, where Father Jacob Bearer will officiate. Eileen will then be taken to Calvary Cemetery in Cleveland, OH, where she will be lovingly laid next to her sister and brother-in-law.
