ELIZABETH "BETTY" A. OLDFIELD
October 14, 1920 — May 4, 2014
Elizabeth “Betty” Oldfield, Age 93, of Medina, passed away on May 4, 2014 under the care of Hospice of Medina County. She was born on October 14, 1920 in Lorain, Ohio to Ira Melvin and Bertha (nee Craig) Piper.
Betty married Frederick Oldfield Jr. on February 17, 1942 and enjoyed their life together until his death on November 28, 2005. She was employed as a Nurse at Elyria Memorial Hospital until her retirement. She shared her life with her loving husband and family. Betty was a longtime member of Lafayette United Methodist Church also a member of Medina Family Campers and the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She will be missed by her beloved children; Rick (Deanie), Judy (Terry) Dunne, and Craig (Marsha), grandchildren; Bradley, Barbara, Heather, Julie, Laurie, Glen, Ellen and cherished great-grandchildren; Autumn, Sally, Michael, Aaron, Kristina, Carlie, Gavin and 7 great-great grandchildren.
Friends may join the family for Visitation on Thursday, May 8, 2014 from 10 AM to 12 (Noon) at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Road, (corner of River Styx and Rt. 18) Medina, OH 44256. Funeral Service will follow Visitation also at the funeral home. Burial in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers donations may be directed to Hospice of Medina County, 5075 Windfall Rd. Medina, Ohio 44256.
