Elva "Louise" Minney, or "Toots", as she was dearly called by family and friends, 87, of Windham, OH, was called to her eternal resting place on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, after a short illness, surrounded by her loving family. She entered this world on July 29, 1934, in Frozen, WV, to the late Charles and Agra (nee Moore) Lambert.
She enjoyed bowling in her earlier years and belonged to a league at Sky Lanes in Garrettsville, OH. Louise collected Depression and Fenton glassware, as well as 1928 jewelry. She was a woman of faith who was and forever will be known as someone who kept her friends and family close to her heart, especially her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Louise will be deeply missed by her husband, Edsel Minney, with whom she was blessed to share 67 years of marriage on December 2, 2022; children, Lisa (Mike) Giffen, of Mineral Wells, WV; Tracy Minney, of Hartford, AR; grandchildren, Justin (Stephanie Murray) Giffen, of Windham, OH, Sarah (Sam) Osborne, of Savannah, GA, and Serena (Matt Kronk) Keiser, of Temperance, MI; great-grandchildren, Madison Giffen and Carter Kronk; brother, Robert (Joan) Lambert, of Atwater, OH, and many nephews, nieces, and dear friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, William Lambert, Barrett Lambert, Val (George) Marlow, and Gerry (Walter) Strawman.
The family would like to invite friends to join them for a visitation on Friday, June 10, 2022, from 10:00 A.M. - 11:00 A.M. at the Church of Christ, 9837 Wolfe Rd, Windham, OH 44288. A funeral service will begin at the church at 11:00 A.M., with Chuck Grubbs and Roger Brown officiating. Louise will then be laid to rest at Windham Township Cemetery. Care for Louise was entrusted to Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH 44231.
