Elwood Crawford, age 82, of Brunswick, passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2019, at Holy Family Hospice House, Parma.
Born on May 4, 1937, in West Virginia to the late George and Leona (nee Fridley) Crawford.
Elwood served in the United States Army and was employed as an electrician for over 30 years at Ford Motor Company, Electrical Local #1377, until his retirement in 2002.
He was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Parish, lifetime and 4th degree member of St. Ambrose Knights of Columbus, Brunswick VFW Post 9520; and also enjoyed gardening, watching westerns and spending time with his family.
Survived by his dear wife of 55 years, Irene (nee Frimel); son, John Crawford; daughter, Janis Crawford; loving sisters, Louise Guilford, Alice (Bob) White, and Barbara Messich; cherished uncle (like a grandfather) to Michael, Jennifer, Amanda, Christian, Olivia, Jack, Matthew and McKenna; loving uncle to many other dear nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends for visitation for Elwood on Monday, November 4, 2019, from 4-8 pm at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road, Brunswick (1/2 mile south of Route 303). A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Elwood at 9 am on November 5, 2019, at St. Ambrose Catholic Parish, 929 Pearl Road, Brunswick. Family will receive friends for visitation one-hour prior from 8-9 am. Fr. Robert Stec, will officiate. Burial will follow in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman.
