Emil William Frishgesell

Emil Frishgesell 88, of Medina passed away on December 24, 2020. He was born on February 15, 1932 in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Emil and Rose (Huber) Frishgesell.
He joined the US Army in 1952. After leaving the Army with an Honorable Discharge, Emil went to work at the Cleveland Electric Illumination Co., and proudly worked there for 39 years.
He was nicknamed "The Silver Fox" by friends and neighbors and that moniker stayed with him his whole adult life. He really enjoyed spending long summer weekends Emil on his boat with family and friends.
Emil is survived by his loving wife Janet with whom he was blessed with 61 years of marriage; children, James (Terri), Sharon (Neil) and Laura ; 6 grandchildren and 7 great children.
Services for Emil will be held June 24, 2021, Christian Mass at Holy Martyrs Church, Medina, Ohio burial to follow at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville, Ohio. Arrangements were entrusted to Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Road (Corner of Rte 18 and River Styx Rd.), Medina, Ohio 44256.
