Enis J. (Sally) Visocan, 99, of Garrettsville, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at Briar Cliff Manor, Middlefield, Ohio. She was born February 17, 1923, in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of the late Andrew and Annunziata (Nancy) Mariani.
She was raised in Hartford, Ohio and graduated from Hartford High School. During World War II, she was employed by Mullins Manufacturing, which produced shell casings for the Army and Navy. She later was employed at General Electric in Warren, Ohio. Her passion was baking, cooking, gardening, and taking care of her family.
Sally will be deeply missed by her son, Steve G. (Linda) Visocan of Garrettsville; son-in-law, Lee H. Jewell; grandsons, Lee Jewell, Dana Jewell, Paul Jewell, Justin Hart, and Michael Hart; 9 great-grandchildren, as well as many nephews, nieces, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George Visocan; daughter, Gloria J. Jewell; brothers, Carmine Mariani, Mike Mariani, and Steve Mariani, and sisters, Mary Schultz, Teresa Masotte, Marian Cook, Rose Harrow, and Elizabeth Hall.
A visitation for Sally will be held Saturday, March 5, 2022, from 10:30 A.M. - 12:00 P.M. at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH 44231. The funeral service will begin at 12:00 P.M. at the funeral home, officiated by Deacon Gerry Scopilliti. Sally will then be buried beside her beloved, George, at Park Cemetery.
