ERVA KAY PERZ

Erva Kay Perz, age 86, of Brunswick, passed away Monday, August 1, 2022. She was born on May 23, 1936, to the late Paul and Erma (nee Hurt) Wenger in Canton.

She was a school teacher for 35 years, teaching at Hickory Ridge Elementary for 25 years. Erva enjoyed singing, leading praise and worship, directing youth choir at Brunswick United Methodist Church, and walking to Emmaus. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and was highly involved in prayer groups and ministries. Erva was an avid Cleveland sports fan and most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Erva will be deeply missed by her loving husband, Thomas; children, David Huffman, Douglas Huffman, and Dann (Shelley) Hobson; stepchildren, Kathlene Myron and Thomas Perz Jr.; grandchildren, David, Amy, Amber, Samantha (Steven), Bryan (Samantha), Dustin, Bethany, Teara, Samantha (Erik), Skylar, and Katie; 22 great grandchildren; and brothers, Paul "Bud" (Sharon) Wenger and Ned (JoAnn) Wenger.

In addition to her parents, Erva was preceded in death by her stepson, Michael Perz.

Please join the family for visitation on Thursday, August 4, 2022, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Carlson Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Rd (1/2 mile south of route 303), Brunswick. Visitation on August 5, 2022, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am followed by funeral service at 11:00 am in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Hope Memorial Gardens, 2447 Center Rd, Hinckley at 12:30 pm.
