EUGENE L. RAMEY

Eugene Ramey, 75 of Medina passed away May 13, 2013.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Vic & Mary and his brother Larry.
He is survived by his wife, Lynette (Gombert), daughters; Vicki Jene Ramey, Valeri Lyn Remark (Dan) and Vanessa Ann Smole (Steve), grandchildren, Jeremy (Shanelle) Smith, Joshua (Courtney) Smith, D.J. and Rachel Remark, Abigail (Quentin) Brown, Chelsea (Michael) Refe, and Spencer Smole, dear sister-in-law Marilyn, niece Traci Jo and nephew Troy.
Gene graduated from Kent State High School in 1956 and treasured his many classmates and friends. He proudly served in the National Guard Reserves and United States Marine Corps where he enlisted on the “Buddy Plan” with Dick Bragg, Tom Ludick, Don Wiant and Kenny Arp. Gene spent the last 25 years barbering in his Canal Place Barbershop where he made many friends. He loved watching sports, especially any Ohio State Teams.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Medina County Hospice 5075 Windfall Road, Medina, Ohio 44256. “The Hospice Staff gave us so much love and support these past months”.
At Gene’s request there will be no Memorial Services. Cremation has taken place. Interment will be at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery with immediate family only. Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services Medina were entrusted with the family arrangements.
