Eugene Wagner, 77 of Medina, passed away on Monday, August 2, 2010 at his residence. He was born December 13, 1932 in Cleveland to Francis and Monica (nee Berry) Wagner and was a United States Army Veteran.
He was a truck driver for Kroger Supermarket retiring in 1995 and he also retired from CCBMR/DD after 5 years of service as a Habilitation Assistant. He was a member of the Teamsters Local 407 and a Charter Founder of T.D.U (Teamsters for a Democratic Union). Mr. Wagner enjoyed Alaskan and Canadian fishing, traveling the United States and Canada, golfing, and spending time with his loving family.
Mr. Wagner is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Eleanor (nee Bistorky) Wagner; children Karen (Dr. Scott) McCune of Brunswick, Michael (Kathy) Wagner of Brunswick, Kevin (Jill) Wagner of Independence, and Kathleen (Mark) Salmonski of Brunswick; brother Francis “Bud” (Dolores) Wagner of Port Clinton; sister-in-law Rina Wagner of Brook Park; grandchildren Megan (Seth) Everitt of Sunbury, Jolene (Jeremy) Speckman of Cleveland, Cory Aron of Parma, Jay Maslanka, and Katie, Courtney, and Kristen Wagner of Brunswick, Jenna and Alexa Wagner of Independence, and Jeremy, Zachary, and Jacob Salmonski of Brunswick; and great grandchildren Dylan and Natalie Everitt of Sunbury.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Neil Wagner.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road (1/2 mile South of Route 303), Brunswick. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, August 5, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at the Funeral Home with Father Thomas Dunphy officiating. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Valley City.
