Evelyn A. Farnsworth 89, passed away on September 26, 2012 at the Magnolia Village Retirement Community in Wadsworth.
She was born in Sharon Township on August 11, 1923 to Milton and Frances (nee Webster) Raw.
She and her husband Joseph C. Farnsworth were married on March 23, 1946. Together they worked a 1000 acre dairy farm which was the biggest grain and dairy producer in Sharon Township. She loved her family and worked hard to be the best at everything she accomplished. She once entered and won first place at the Medina Fair with the best fudge, she said she would not enter again, because she didn’t want second place. She also made the best maple syrup.
She will be forever in the memory of her beloved family; husband Joe of 66 years; children, Linda (Robert) Spring, Judy (Tim) Wolf, Dan C. Farnsworth and Thomas (Jennifer) Farnsworth, grandchildren; Kris (Josh), Kate (Bryon), Kathy, Rob (Audea), Craig, Jen (Jim), Brian, Erin (Patrick), Chance, Brittany, Joseph, and Amanda, Mathew, Marcus Kyle and 6 great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents, and brothers; Elton and Stanley Raw.
The family invites friends for Visitation on Friday, September 28, 2012 from 4 to 8 PM and 1 hour prior to 11 AM Funeral Service on Saturday, September 29, 2012, at the Carlson Funeral Home 3477 Medina Road (Rt. 18 and River Styx Rd) Medina, Ohio. Pastor Mollie G. Brown officiating. Burial to follow in Sharon Center Cemetery.
