She was born in Cleveland, Ohio to Joseph and Anna (nee Hmelyar) Staron. Evelyn and Robert were married 61 years. Evelyn was a loving wife, mother and friend. She enjoyed crocheting, making bunnies for the children at hospitals, also quilting and spending time with her family fishing and camping. She leaves behind her beloved husband Robert H. Mahaney, children; Patricia (deceased) husband Tom Neal, Robert J., Edward (deceased), Kathleen Mahaney and Nancy (husband Jim) Barnett, grandchildren; Cynthia, Melissa, Sandra, Michelle, MaryBeth, Christine, Michael, Susan, Sara, Maura, Joey, Leslie, great-grandchildren; Anthony, Christopher, Andrew, India, Ethan, Melanie, Ryan, Jada, Ashlee, Lauren, Zachary, DeAnna, AJ and Lilliana, siblings; Steve (wife Beverly), Joan (husband Pat), Joseph (wife Sharon). Celebration of her life will be held Saturday, September 3, 2011 from 11 AM to 1 PM at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services 3477 Medina Road (corner of River Styx and Rt. 18) Medina, Ohio. Service will follow at 1 PM.
