FLORENCE LORRAINE MATYAS

Florence Lorraine Matyas, age 91, of Cleveland, passed away Monday, December 19, 2022. She was born on October 25, 1931, to the late Virgil and Florence (nee Weinrich) Snider in Big Springs, WV.

She was a member of the Parma Elks and an active church volunteer. Florence was an avid darter and enjoyed socializing with her friends.

Florence will be deeply missed by her children, Cindi Brody and Edna (Ron) Slack; grandchildren, Matthew (Kalina) Leggett, Jamie Brody, Jennifer Incorvaia, Shannon (Jason Maxey) Slack, Joshua Slack, Cheri Matyas, and Timmy Matyas; great-grandchildren, Miranda, Carter, Lincoln, Alana, Jayden, Jasny, Alie, Ayzik, Zane, and Mayze; brother, William “Billy” Snider; and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Florence was preceded in death by her children, Andy and Joey; siblings, Edra (Wally) Schmidt, Adie (Lawerence) Richards, Rosie (Richard) Thompson, Bud (Florence) Snider, Mabel (Tony) Strnad, and Leona (“Cookie”) Milanko; and sister-in-law Judy Snider.

Please join the family for visitation on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at Carlson Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Rd. (1/2 south of route 303), Brunswick. Funeral Service for Florence will begin at 12:00 pm. Interment will follow the service at Brooklyn Heights Cemetery, 4700 Broadview Rd., Cleveland at 1:00 pm.
