FLORENCE "SHOTTIE" PRITT

Florence E. (Shottie) Pritt, 94, passed away on August 2, 2015, with her family by her side. She was born on August 27, 1920 to Herman and Ahra (Oxley) Bennett in Valley Bend, WV. Her family relocated to Windham in 1945 and she has resided in Garrettsville since 1959. She was formerly employed at the Ravenna Arsenal and a retiree from Carlisle Industries in Middlefield.

Florence attended services at Laurie Ann Nursing Home provided by the First Baptist Church of Newton Falls. She loved bowling, casino bus trips & bingo. She enjoyed working on jigsaw puzzles, gardening and playing card games. She cherished spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter Betty Hamilton of Garrettsville; brother, Jennings (Barbara) Bennett of Newton Falls; sister, Janet Hollabaugh of West Virginia; grandchildren, Jason (Marce) Hamilton of Garrettsville, Paige (Matt) Myers of Chagrin Falls; great-grandchildren, Ashlyn and Piper; many loving nieces and nephews and special friend Linda.

Florence was preceded in death by her parents and 11 siblings and infant grandson.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2015 from 10-12 pm at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, Ohio. Services will following at 12 pm with Pastor Steve Spurlock officiating. Burial will be in Harrington Cemetery in Nelson, Ohio.
