Fonza Vance Dean, 76, of Garrettsville passed away Sunday, August 22, 2010 in Ravenna. He was born in Exchange, West Virginia to Henry F. and Mary L. (Blake) Dean.
Fonza served in the United States Army and then worked for Pyrofax Gas Company for 22 years. He enjoyed cooking and gardening and cherished spending time with his beloved family and friends, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years LeeAnne ( Herrington); sons Chad of Streetsboro, and Brad and Trevor of Garrettsville; brother Lawrence(Okhung) of New York; sisters Zelma Mingo of Burton, Betty ( Al ) Cochennetti of Washington, and Loreda (Glenn) Gough of Garrettsville; and grandchildren Logan and Jacob Dean.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Jared; and brother, Hermit.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday ,August 24th from 6-8 P.M. at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH 44231.Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 25th at 1 P.M. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Garrettsville.
