FRANCES V. ROBERTS

Frances V. Roberts, 86, of Windham, passed away on February 4, 2018. She was born on May 26, 1931 in Rockport, WV to Francis and Ruie (Perkins) Houck. Frances married the love of her life, Donald J. Roberts, on July 8, 1950. They were happily married for 53 years.

She was a member of the Windham United Methodist Church and faithfully prayed for her children since the day they were born. Frances lived on the family farm from 1950 until present. During this time, she worked along with her family on the farm while raising her children. Frances also owned Frans Fantasy Gift Shop in Garrettsville for 10 years. She loved being with her family and friends. Frances was an amazing cook, especially, her chicken and noodles. She had a love for music that she passed to her children.

Frances is survived by her children, Donald (Mary), David (Cheryl) and Dianna Roberts; brother, Sterling (June) Houck; sister, Grace (Vernon) Smith; 12 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren with 1 on the way and many loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald J. and son, Doug.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2018 from 3-7 pm at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, Ohio 44231 and Friday, February 9, 2018 from 11 am - 12 pm at the Windham United Methodist Church, 9051 North Main St., Windham, Ohio 44288. Services to be held at 12 pm at the church with Pastor Sandra Greenberg officiating. Burial to follow in Windham Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Frances’s name to the church.
