Frank Girman, age 97, of Brunswick, Ohio, passed away on May 8, 2020. He was born March 12, 1923 in Wyandotte, Michigan to the late John and Anna (Ferencz) Girman. The family moved shortly after to Weymouth, Ohio where he grew up and graduated from Granger High School. Frank enlisted in the Army Air Corp where he earned his wings as a flight engineer on B-17's, flying mostly in the European Theater. Upon returning home, he enrolled in The Ohio State University. He then married Ann Milli in Sept of 1947. The couple bought a farm in Brunswick Hills, Ohio where they resided until 2018. Frank was employed as an electrician for the City of Cleveland until his retirement in 1977.
The couple have four children; Frank Michael (Tesa), Dianne (Daniel) O'Malia, Thomas (Lee), David (Beth). Grandchildren; Alexander, Ryan, Abraham Silver, Patrick (Theresa), Colleen, Paul (Kelly) Carpenter, Amy (Doug) Pierse, Julie (Kevin) Malone, Garth (Amber) and Lucas. Great-grandchildren; Liam and Conor O'Malia, Gabriel Carpenter, Claire and Nolan Malone and Porter Girman.
Frank was preceded in death by his loving wife Ann of 71 yrs as well as his 3 siblings and daughter-in-law Cecilia.
Frank's care has been entrusted to Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Road, Medina, OH 44256. Due to the current pandemic, the family will hold a private service to celebrate Frank's life, but asks you to be with them in prayer and reflection. Frank will be laid to rest at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens in Brunswick, Ohio. Any memorial contributions may be made to The Hope Lodge, 11432 Mayfield Rd, Cleveland, Ohio 44106.
