Together Again
Frank J Valestin, 85. Our beloved Father, Husband and Brother, passed away on October 18, 2020 at Medina Ohio.
He was born in New York, New York to Frank and Elizabeth Valestin on September 25,1935. He proudly served in the US Army. He enjoyed traveling around the world and spending time with his children, family and friends. We are comforted to know that he now joins our beloved mother, his wife, Katherine in heaven. He will be greatly missed by his daughters Eleanor and Patricia; son Eric ( wife Stephanie and her children, Megan and William Slattery); brother George Gumbel, and sister in law ;Bette Norman, his beloved dog, Sammie and many friends.
The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors and staff at Medina General hospital, Brookdale Hospice, and everyone at Brookdale Medina South for all their wonderful care of our father and kindness toward our family.
Memorial donations may be made in Frank's name to the Medina chapter of the SPCA 8790 Guilford Rd, Seville, OH 44273.
Graveside services for Frank will be held on Friday, November 6, 2020 at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Seville, OH at 10:30 a.m. Fr. Mike Ausperk, pastor of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, will officiate. OUT OF RESPECT FOR ONE ANOTHER, MASKS ARE REQUIRED AND SOCIAL DISTANCING OBSERVED.
The Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Road, Medina, were entrusted to handle the arrangements.
