Frank A. Williams, 68, of Garrettsville, passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2010 at Geauga Regional Hospital. He was born July 23, 1941 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Frank A. and Dessie E. (Peterson) Williams.
Frank served honorably in the U.S. Army 82nd. Airborne Division. He was employed as a truck driver with Consolidated Freightways and was a member of Teamsters Local 24. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, camping, hunting and drag races, but most cherished spending time with his beloved family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Bert , of Garrettsville; sons, David (Cameron) Carper of Garrettsville, and Paul A. (Sherry) Williams of Johnson, Oh.; adopted daughter, Tina Charvat of Georgia; brother, Ray M.(Sandy) of Ravenna; sister-in-law, Linda Williams of Maryland; 12 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Duane A. Williams.
Calling hours are 6-8 PM on Thursday, Jan. 14, 2010 at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, Oh. 44231 and Friday from 10-11 AM at Praise Assembly of God, 10280 Rte 88, Garrettsville, Oh. 44231. Funeral Services will begin on Friday at 11 AM at the church with Pastor D. Greg Ebie officiating. Military honors will follow.
Frank gave the Gift of Sight through eye donation. Contributions may be made to the famiily.
