Frederick Klaiss, 77, of Cincinnati, passed away unexpectedly on January 30, 2020. He was born on November 11, 1942, to the late Darwin and Winifred (Judson) Klaiss.
He was a retired marketing executive, and had worked for Anthem Blue Cross for more than 25 years. He was a graduate of Adrian College and an Army veteran, who served in Vietnam. Fred was an avid and talented photographer, who picked up his first camera as a child and documented family, events and life in general throughout his life. He also loved cars, model trains and travel.
He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 26 years, Gail Myers. He is also survived by his sister Diane (Theron) Snell; nephew Sam (Lisa) Snell; and brothers-in-law Mark (Christina) Myers; and Clark Myers. He also leaves his dear cousin Mary Alice Soltis and her children Jeff (Janet) Soltis; Jerry Soltis; and Marijo (David) Shuntich, and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A Graveside Service for Frederick was held at Overlook Cemetery in Parkman on Saturday, February 8, 2020, Reverend David Black officiating. Arrangements were entrusted to Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH 44231. A memorial service is being planned in his home in Cincinnati. Details will appear here at a later date.
