GEORGE RICHARD DOBRANSKY

George Richard Dobransky, age 85, of Brunswick, passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2023. He was born on November 5, 1937, in Warren to the late George and Mary Zupko Dobransky.

He graduated from Newton Falls High School and went on to Kent State graduating with a bachelor’s degree in business management. George proudly served in the US Army. He was an auditor and manager at Forest City Enterprises for over 40 years. George enjoyed traveling, going to the Casino, ballroom dancing, bowling, and shopping. He was family oriented; George’s family was his pride and joy.

George will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 50 years, Mary Ann; many nieces and nephews; many great nieces and nephews; and long-time friends, James Royer of Michigan, Lois Nicklas, Gerri Murray, Ann and John Slobodian, and Cheryl Cika.

In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his son, Steve; brother, Mike (Betty) Dobransky; sisters, Mary (Joe) Woitek, Ann (Lyman) Sperry, Helen (Bill) Spencer, and Marge (Tom) Knoske.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2023, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at St. Ambrose Catholic Parish, 929 Pearl Rd, Brunswick. Mass will follow at 11:00 am. Burial at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens, 2869 Grafton Rd, Brunswick. George’s care was entrusted to Carlson Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, Brunswick.
