George E. Heintz, age 80, of Medina, passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2019. He was born on May 8, 1938, to the late Howard and Edith (nee Skolaris) Heintz.
George loved playing golf, horseshoes, bike riding, gardening, boating and going to flea markets and thrift shops. He retired from General Motors after 30 plus years.
George is survived by his children, Sandra (Robert) Thomas, Russell (Cheryl) Heintz, Robert (Christina) Heintz, Rashel (Jeffrey) Wallo; brother, Howard (JoAnn); sister, Jeanette Chrisopulos; grandchildren, Sean and Lindsey Wuebold, Jerry (Aimee) Obrecht, Kristen Heintz (Nathan), Stephanie (Matthew) Heintz-Martin, Caitlin Heintz, Taylor Heintz, Carter Heintz, Sawyer Heintz, Jackson Wallo and Brooklyn Wallo; great-grandchildren, Breanna, Collin, and Teigan.
George was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 57 years, Linda (nee Openlander).
Friends may join the family for George’s visitation on Sunday, May 5, 2019, from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Road, Medina, OH. A Funeral Service for George will be on Monday, May 6, 2019, at 12:00PM. The family will receive friends and relatives one hour prior to his service, at 11:00AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memory Gardens, Brunswick.
