George M. Lampshire, age 68, of Brunswick, passed away Saturday, February 18, 2023. He was born on February 7, 1955, to the late George and Vera (nee Read) Lampshire in Cleveland.
Known as “4 Door George” at Summit Motor Sports Park in Norwalk, George loved racing. He enjoyed bowling and most of all time with his family.
George will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 36 years, Rebecca; children, Mike (Jessie), Jeff (Jaime), and Brittney (Abby) Price; grandchildren, Cam, Vin, Robby, London, and Juliet; brothers, Steve (Kim), Gene (Mickie), and Kevin (Debbie); sister, Cathy (Fred) Wisen; brothers-in-law, Terry (Barb) Grimes and Chris Withrow; many nieces and nephews; and many great nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Herbert Withrow.
The Lampshire family has entrusted George’s care to Carlson Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, Brunswick. Visitation will be Sunday, February 26, 2023, from 3:00 pm until 4:00 pm at Grace Baptist Church, 3480 Laurel Rd, Brunswick. Funeral service will follow visitation from 4:00 pm until 5:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations will be graciously accepted by St Judes, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or online at stjude.org
