George Rice, 92, of Garrettsville, OH, born in Halifax County, VA, entered rest Monday, September 6, 2021. He was born June 18, 1929, in Brookneal, VA to Guy and Annie (nee Wesley) Rice.
He loved spending time with family and friends. George enjoyed the outdoors, his dogs, sports, and music.
George will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 70 years, Helen (nee Yates); loving children, Joan (Glen) Young, Darrel Rice, Jennifer Rice, and Robert (Jen) Rice, and dear grandchildren, Ben and Rachel.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Dorothy, Virginia, Guy, James, Oliver, Louis, Peram, Ernest, Moreal, Clifton, Garland, and Raymond.
All services for George are private, per his wishes. All services have been entrusted to Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH, 44231.
