George Joseph Shiban, 80 of Brunswick, passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 6, 1930 in Cleveland, Ohio and was the loving son of Shbeeb and Anna (nee Shady) Shiban.
Mr. Shiban was a United States Army Veteran.
He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years Donna Lynne (nee Urbach) Shiban; proud father of Steven G. (Heather) Shiban and Lynne M. (Keith-Deceased) Martz; dear brother of Mary Decker, John Shiban, James Shiban, Thomas (Marie) Shiban and Kathleen (Stephen) Hudak and loving uncle, great uncle and Godfather to many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Norma Shiban and Elizabeth (Joseph) Thomas; sister-in-law Mona Shiban and brother-in-law James Decker.
Friends may join the family for remembrance of his life on Monday, January 3, 2011 from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road (1/2 mile South of Route 303), Brunswick. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at 10:30 AM at St. Ambrose Parish, 929 Pearl Road, Brunswick. PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH ONE HOUR PRIOR TO SERVICE AT 9:30 A.M. Interment will follow in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Road, Rittman, Ohio.
Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Augustine Church, 2486 West 14th Street, Cleveland, Ohio 44113.
