Gerald E. Scott, 83 of Freedom Township passed away on Thursday, September 13, 2012 at the Woodlands in Ravenna.
Born May 27, 1929 in Norton, West Virginia. Gerald served as a military policeman in the Army. He was employed at Polson Rubber, Chrysler and Swagelok. Gerald enjoyed fishing, watching baseball and football, playing cards and the many memorable times spent with family and friends. He especially enjoyed spending time with his beloved Aunt Ocie Scott in West Virginia.
He is survived by his son, Jeffery (Andrea) Scott of Garrettsville, sisters Phyllis Jackson of Beverly WV, Deloris (Bernie) Flynn of Elyria, Janet (Louis) Soos of Vermillion and Hilda (Mike) Alsop of S. Charleston, WV.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce (Foy) Scott, and parents, Homer and Prudence (Shipman) Scott.
Calling hours will be 2-4 PM on Sunday, September 16, 2012 at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH 44231. Funeral services will be on Monday at 12:00 Noon at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Drakesburg Cemetery, Freedom Twp.
