Glenn R. Mullenax, 92, of Windham, passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna with his loving family by his side. He was born July 20, 1918 in Blue Grass, Virginia.
Glenn served in the Army in WWII and was a machine operator and dairy farmer. He enjoyed gardening, flowers, and was an animal lover. He enjoyed his ice cream and candy and was a great story teller. Glenn played the fiddle, banjo and harmonica, and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his sons, Bud (Rilla) Mullenax and Bobby (Diane) Mullenax all of Windham; daughters, Marie (Marion) Quickle and Milly (Jim) Stone all of Windham and Glenna (Quentin) Spaur of Freedom; son-in-law, William McDowell Jr. of Freedom; brother, Eddie (Lucille) Mullenax of Pennsylvania, sister, Bessie Todar of Pennsylvania; 16 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 21 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Clarence and Rosa Mae (Baker) Mullenax; his wife Martha E., and daughters Betty L. McDowell Jr., Carol Elizabeth and Martha Jane; many brothers and sisters, grandsons, William and John, and granddaughter, Debbie.
Funeral services will be at 12:00 PM on Friday, April 1, 2011 at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, Ohio 44231 with Rev. Clifford Carpenter officiating. Calling hours will be on Friday, one hour prior to the service from 11 AM to noon. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Garrettsville with military honors.
