Glenn Showalter,73, of Windham, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2015 at his home. He was born on September 13, 1942 to Lewis and Myrtle (Vincent) Showalter in Ravenna, Ohio. Glenn married the love of his life, Penny (Thompson) on October 5, 1963.
He was a Dairy Farmer for 26 years, worked at the Ohio Turnpike for 17 years, a real estate agent for several years and currently worked at the Windham Hardware. Glenn was a member of the Windham Lion’s Club, Masonic Lodge 246, Royal Arch Masonic, Scottish Rite Valley of Canton and Windham Methodist Church.
Glenn is survived by his loving wife, Penny; son, Matthew of Windham; daughter, Karen Showalter of Woodland, Ca; siblings; Lewis (Sue) Showalter of Windham and Shirley Owen of Garrettsville; grandchild, Tiarnan Kron and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 24, 2016 from 2-4 PM at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, Ohio 44231. The Masonic Service will begin at 4 PM and the Funeral service will immediately follow with Rev. Gerald Kalb at the funeral home. Private burial will take place at a later date in Windham Township Cemetery.
